JAZZ BAND

This is an extracurricular performance group which studies blues, swing, latin jazz, ballads, funk, and rock charts. Students are selected by Ms. Maetche from the Grade 7 and 8 Concert Bands. Trumpet, trombone, saxophone, bass, piano, and drumset players may participate in this group. Rehearsals will begin on Wednesday, October 4th, and will run weekly until the week of the Winter Concert. Rehearsals will then resume in January to prepare for Spring performances.

Students who are members of this group must be ready to rehearse weekly from 7:45 to 8:45am, and are expected to attend all rehearsals and performances. Extra rehearsals may be added as needed, especially near concert time. Any changes of rehearsal days will be sent via email.
